Taylor Swift’s recent sister albums, Folklore and Evermore has definitely triumphed to get substantial international scrutiny and colossal successes in charts establishing itself as a robust competitor for the others to watch out. But what made this duo so special? At the present times of potent beats and catchy raps, there would not be much scope for an ‘Indie’ album to make it to the apex. Many would attribute the success of the two albums to the initial cumulative success that Taylor has garnered over a decade of her career. But ‘Folkmore’ duo has far much to offer on it’s own.

The major objective of these albums seems to be it’s stress on Taylor’s story telling skill and elementary instrumental rather than an imposing and heavy song like ‘ME’ or ‘Ready or not’. On the topic of instruments, the significant instrument used differs in both. While Folklore glided effortlessly over the impeccable notes of a piano, Evermore thrived on a more jubilant strums of a guitar. The storyline also molds itself to blend with different musical factors.

When Taylor said ‘Kids! spelling is fun’ in ME she really did warn us to catch hold on to a dictionary and learn pristine words if we were to catch up with the vocabulary of her sister albums. The Brobdingnagian words are not painfully injected instead brings out the beauty in her writing.

Every single song flows just so flawlessly that the listener gets swept away in her currents. None of the song is a black sheep that disrupts the flow of the playlist but rather they compliment each other to enhance the quality of the album.

And did I say that the photoshoot is some of my favorite? It’s such a simple yet effective way of portraying her albums. Excluding extreme flashy sets, overly saturated looks were some of the best decisions she and her team made.

The Album is such a waft of fresh air and diverse that shows how much of a genius Taylor swift is.
