Dreams of shackles

So when people said ‘follow your dreams’ I tried to break my shackles and run to my destiny but now they say I am a fool reaching for a mirage seen by millions but reached by a few the concept of a dream entices me a vision unique yet ordinary seen my one yet seen by many our human heart wanting more than our fate being foolish even to win the game we bleed passion but resist the urge the urge to be normal and fade in the Sun let the stats speak for it’s own sake

The warrior bleeding rubies

When you often feel alone left behind in tatters by a storm that crashed through your hopes pushing your dreams into ambers they are now blue with holes But your feet aren’t paining yet they are bleeding with rubies but your ghost of a smile is a rare case among your kind You can walk even when the world stops you in your tracks commands you to bow your temple on it’s filthy bloodied rag because we aren’t strangers to begin with we are warriors embedded in silver platters of hate thrown at your chest but you never raise your sword against the poisoned throat of the unworthy or the lover your dared to lose

1

I am wishing the star beating around the same mistake trying to reconcile because it wasn’t my thing staying late inhaling drinks I’ll rather be down for a couple of talks out of love but the flame is now blue beating for two the soul you left broken healing with pain harder than diamonds right from my hell So my parents were right after all

Blind Angel

Not a lone traveler yet not a packed one overflowing love but yet we stray apart moments turn gold in a blink of eye memories lose track in the midst of chaos the night I sang our song echoing through the murky woods, scaring the ghostly pall of a Moon but I loved playing along your juvenile tricks hurting myself twice just to see you smile people coax me coax me to leave you they say you are bad bad for my life but they don’t get it neither does my shadow you are a miracle and I am a blinded angel I would never dare raise my voice even when you explode yours even when you push me away even when you make me cry I am a blinded angel blind in your room lost in your maze oblivious to your chaos

The women I meet

The women I meet are a diverse bunch each with a different flame shadows of prejudice lingering behind internalized hate for their own kind I have seen the fire that anguishes me fallen truths stale with reality of women pushing each other down pulling the strings of their own show I have come across different eyes some itching with pride some burning with passion some dull in ambers some baked in frost

Spider

Fate is a lost child wrapped in newly woven webs webs still tainted with mucus and blood webs still capable of love It calls you out time and time again let you wander and loiter in the maze let you create your paradise and watch it burn Ashes line your sweaty palms because you were terrified of moving on still tangled in fiery hopes bleeding in a sickening blue you were never afraid only terrified of leaving the cocoon that once bled on mine

The Centre

I told you the story of how I lost my way went around the same grove to find my forgotten say I reminded the sky I won’t pass the flame to another meek hand I’ll hold on to it till it no longer cries Oh dear, the little bird Out of cage, flying alone meeting the sky bellowing tears but the rain hasn’t come yet no one would notice The lovely scars marks fleshless bones scurrying truths, haunted alleyways choking lies with glee as we stand again at the centre waiting for the key

Destiny

When the Moon isn’t shining anymore when it’s ashes are no longer brushing the sky we’ll dance again until our feet get clogged with the memories and rain of early July Our breaths would have a beautiful marriage a fearless knot if I might say between a taboo and hoax an…

A stolen worm

The little bird spoke in broken sentences It didn’t quite understand the usage of emotions and taste of a foreign fruit inside her mouth replaced by a lovely hand, molten and raw the little one didn’t seem so anxious after all, this wasn’t the end the fruit tasted better than what she anticipated but she ached for the rustic worms her mother used to feed It wasn’t any good but it felt like home a shelter to borrow before it was gone
